Spring Clothing/Toy Swap

Spring is the perfect time to refresh, reset, and make space for what’s next — and what better way to do that than by giving a second life to the things your family no longer needs? Millburn Mamas & Minis is excited to host our first Spring Clothing/Toy Swap, a fun and sustainable way to declutter your home while supporting other local families. Bring gently used children's items, toys, books, baby gear, and maternity clothing — and find new treasures for your growing minis!

📅 Saturday, May 17 (Rain date is Sunday, May 18)

🕒 3–5 PM

📍 37 Richard Drive, Short Hills

Drop-off starts Monday, May 12!

To make sorting easier, please follow these steps:

  • Fold clothing and bundle it by size (see suggested size categories below).

  • If you have extra cardboard boxes, feel free to donate them for use at the event.

  • Drop off items on the front porch of 37 Richard Drive in clearly labeled bags or boxes.

  • Leftover items will be donated locally after the swap.

Suggested Size Categories for Clothing:
Please use these ranges when organizing and labeling your drop-offs:

  • Preemie

  • Newborn – 3 months

  • 3 – 6 months

  • 6 – 12 months

  • 12 – 18 months

  • 18 – 24 months

  • 2T – 3T

  • 4T – 5T

  • Size 6 and up (please include number sizes if possible: 6, 7, 8, etc.)

  • Maternity clothing (label separately)

👉 If an item falls between sizes (e.g., 18–24 months), place it in the larger category.

👉 You can use masking tape, sticky notes, or simply write on the bag or box.

ITEMS ACCEPTED

The following items can be dropped off, and must be clean and gently used, with NO stains and/or rips:

- Baby & children’s clothing and shoes, appropriate for ages 0-10 years, bundled by size

- Baby & children’s books, appropriate for ages 0-10 years

- Baby gear & accessories (such as baby carriers)

- Strollers, pack n plays, and high chairs less than 5 years old

- Maternity clothing

- NEW car seats

- NEW breast pumps, pump bottles, and storage bags

- Toys in good working order with complete parts/pieces, cleaned/wiped down, appropriate for ages 0-10 years

ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED

We cannot accept items that are overused, stained, ripped, broken, or missing parts/pieces. Items that cannot be donated after the event create difficulties for our volunteers with disposal and transportation. Thank you in advance!

- NO plush toys/stuffies

- NO furniture (including bassinets) except what is listed above under Items Accepted

- NO bedding or mattresses

- NO bouncers, swings, jumpers, exersaucers, etc.

- NO used underwear

- NO choking hazards

- NO items that have been recalled

WANT TO HELP OUT?

We’d love some extra hands to make this event a success! If you’re available, here are a few ways to get involved:

- Arrive early (2:30 PM) to help set up and organize before the Swap begins

- Bring a folding table (if you have one we can use!)

- Help transport leftover items to local donation sites after the event
